A Pre-Thanksgivakkuh Friendsgiving Brunch!

This morning we had a blast celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime confluence of holidays! Having hardly entertained since Stella was born, we invited a bunch of families over for an epic playdate consisting of yummy food, a ton of toys, and lots of good times (and, surprising, very little fussiness and no significant injuries. Although there were enough doctors standing by in case).

So first the food. This was a potluck and seriously, we have some amazing and creative friends! Everyone was invited to make or bring a meal that merged Chanukah and Thanksgiving. I think Sabrina won with her awesome cookies!
Upper left - Thanksgivakkuh white chocolate bark with dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, gelt and blue drizzle. Upper right: Pumpkin challah french toast and cranberry sticky buns. Lower left: Amazing "menurky" and "turkey dreidel" cookies, Lower right: Pumpkin donut muffins, butternut squash and sage quiche, potato frittata and challah stuffing muffins. Not pictured: Sweet potato latkes, cranberry apple sauce, salad, bagels and coffee.
In case you were wondering, no, there were very few leftovers.

Now on to the guests. Could these kiddos be ANY cuter? We managed to get all but one on or near enough to the couch. And then. . . they all stayed pretty quiet as their parents madly waved i-Phone cameras and tried various tricks to get them smiling. The big one below is the only one I got with Stella smiling. If anyone has a better version, you know where to send it!

And a video of the photo in the making. Featuring Stella, of course.

A few other photos of everyone having a great time! Let's not wait til Thanksgivvakah roles around in 77,000 years to do this again!
