With daycare closed for the week and David on call 24/7, Stella and I took off for Connecticut on the same flight back as grandma and grandpa. (Thus uncovering the secret to flying with a toddler. Have her sit between her grandparents while you sit across the aisle with a magazine.)Someone (ahem, Grandma) bought Stella a cinnamon crunch "bagel" when I wasn't looking. It was pretty good, though. . .

Here's how we spent our week!
Playing with the best toys the 1980s had to offer
Enjoying a shopping trip to Stew Leonard's, complete with checking out the animals.
An afternoon swim at great-grandma's pool and helping papa weed the garden.
Off to New York City to meet up with mommy's cousins and their little ones for a day of playgrounds and picnics.
Tried really hard to get a picture of Stella and Maceo. . . but that's nearly impossible to do with a couple of two year olds!
Note to self: next time, take the picture of all the kids at the start of the day, not the end when no one has napped!

One tired toddler stuck in traffic. Time to bring out the tablet. . .
Around town, at the playground, visiting papa at work, helping papa make pecan waffles.
Friday night service at the beach, and exploring the water and sand.
Lunch in Queens before heading back to the Southwest terminal at LGA. Also known as the worst place on earth.
After lots of traffic, standing in line forever to check our one little bag and making our way through security, Stella asked for a cookie. And a cookie is what she got!
