Off to a solid start

To celebrate Stella turning 6 months yesterday, we gave her sweet potatoes! She seemed to enjoy them, or at least enjoyed getting them everywhere. (You can't really tell from these pictures, but they were in her hair, all over her face, and up her sleeves - lesson learned, roll the sleeves up first!)

Stella puts all her toys directly in her mouth, but it took her some time to figure out what to do with the sweet potatoes. So we fed her a few pieces directly, and then she got the hang of it. She seemed to like squishing it between her hands and then sucking it off her fingers.

Today, we gave her an orange!

Kidding - that's just her favorite plastic ball, which of course went straight to her mouth. But we did give her some more sweet potatoes and a piece of pear that she loved!
